Summary of key points

What personal information do we process? The Spacefield app runs on your Mac. It reads Space and window titles so it can write a short label. Those titles go only to the language model you pick. MixItOne does not receive that list unless you choose Hosted. The website may collect limited technical logs. If you subscribe to Hosted, we also process billing status from Stripe.

Do we process any sensitive personal information? We do not intentionally process sensitive personal information. Window titles may include names or other details you had on screen. Do not use Spacefield on Spaces you are not comfortable sending titles from.

Do we receive any information from third parties? If you subscribe to Hosted, Stripe tells us your subscription status. We do not receive personal information from third parties for marketing or profiling.

How do we process your information? We process information to provide the website and app download, to send optional Hosted summaries, to bill Hosted subscribers, for security, and to comply with law.

Do we sell personal information? No. We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Do AI features send data to third parties? Yes, if you pick a cloud model. The app sends Space and window titles to that model so it can write labels. Nothing else leaves the Mac unless you choose Hosted. Learn more underartificial intelligence (AI) features.

1. What information do we collect?

In Short: On your Mac, Spacefield reads Space and window titles. MixItOne only receives that list if you subscribe to Hosted. The website collects limited technical data.

On your Mac (not sent to us by default). Spacefield inventories the apps and windows on each macOS Space. It uses Screen Recording permission to read window titles only. It does not capture screenshots or send screen pixels. Those Space and window titles go to the language model you chose:

  • Your own OpenAI or OpenRouter key
  • Codex or Cursor if they are already signed in on your Mac
  • A local model in LM Studio or Ollama

In those cases MixItOne does not receive the titles. They stay between your Mac and the provider you picked.

If you subscribe to Spacefield Hosted. The app sends the same Space and window title list to a MixItOne proxy so we can call a model (currently via OpenRouter to DeepSeek) and return a label. We enforce a usage cap on that proxy. We store a subscription entitlement on your Mac (in Keychain). We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Card details are handled by Stripe; we receive limited non-card information such as subscription status.

Website and updates. When you visitspacefield.appwe may collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request logs needed for security and reliable operation (via Cloudflare). The app may check/appcast.xmlfor updates. That check does not include your Space inventory.

Sensitive information. We do not intentionally process sensitive information. Titles you allow the app to read may include personal details if those words appear in a window title.

Artificial intelligence (AI) features

Spacefield uses a language model to write a short label and summary from what is open on each Space. The app sends Space and window titles (not screenshots) to the model you picked.

  • Your own key or local model. Titles go to OpenAI, OpenRouter, Codex, Cursor, LM Studio, or Ollama as you configured. MixItOne does not operate those calls.
  • Hosted. Titles go to our MixItOne proxy, then to OpenRouter / DeepSeek so we can return a label. Those organisations process the titles to produce model output. SeeOpenRouter’s privacy policy.

2. How do we process your information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

We may process your personal information to:

  • Serve the website, downloads, and Sparkle update feed
  • If you subscribe to Hosted, run the summary proxy, enforce the usage cap, and keep your entitlement current
  • Bill Hosted subscriptions through Stripe
  • Protect the Services, including fraud monitoring and prevention
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. What legal bases do we rely on to process your personal information?

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason to do so under applicable law.

If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.

We may rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent. Where you have given permission for a specific purpose. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or by switching off Hosted and using your own model.
  • Contract. Processing necessary to provide the Services you request (the website, the app download, and Hosted if you subscribe).
  • Legitimate interests. For example diagnosing problems, preventing fraud, and keeping the site up, where those interests do not outweigh your rights.
  • Legal obligations. Where processing is necessary to comply with law or defend legal rights.
  • Vital interests. Where necessary to protect someone’s vital interests.

If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you. We may process your information with your express or implied consent, or as otherwise permitted by Canadian law. You may withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

In Short: We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers only as needed to operate Spacefield, and when required by law.

We may share information with:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, the update feed, and (if you use Hosted) the summary proxy
  • Stripe — Hosted subscription billing (we do not store card numbers)
  • OpenRouter and the Hosted model provider — Space and window titles, only if you subscribe to Hosted

Providers you configure yourself (OpenAI, OpenRouter with your key, Codex, Cursor, LM Studio, Ollama) receive titles from your Mac. MixItOne does not send them that data.

We may disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect our rights, users, or the public. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. How does the Mac app handle your data?

In Short: Titles stay on your Mac unless you pick a cloud model or Hosted. Free use does not create a MixItOne account.

You do not need an account to download or use Spacefield with your own key, Codex, Cursor, or a local model. API keys and Hosted entitlement are stored in the macOS Keychain on your device. We do not use passwords.

If you subscribe to Hosted, Stripe creates a customer record for billing. The app then sends Space and window titles to our proxy for that subscription only.

6. Is your information transferred internationally?

In Short: The website and Hosted proxy run on Cloudflare and other providers that may process data in multiple countries.

Primary website hosting is on Cloudflare. If you use Hosted, OpenRouter and the model host may process titles in other countries according to their own terms. Stripe may process billing data in other countries.

If you access the Services from the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another region with international-transfer rules, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws. We protect personal information as described in this notice and in line with applicable law, including appropriate safeguards where required.

7. How long do we keep your information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this notice unless a longer period is required by law.

We do not keep your Space inventory when you use your own model. If you use Hosted, we keep what we need to run the proxy, enforce the cap, and bill the subscription, then delete or anonymise it when we no longer need it (or isolate it until deletion from backups is possible). Website logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation. Stripe keeps billing records under its own policies.

8. Do we collect information from minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to that minor’s use of the Services. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete the data. Contactprivacy@mixitone.com if you believe we may have collected data from a child.

9. What are your privacy rights?

In Short: In some regions you have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or Canada), you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and/or to object to certain processing. You can make a request using the contact details inHow can you contact us about this notice?

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you may complain to yourMember State authorityor theUK ICO. In Switzerland, contact theFDPIC.

You can stop Hosted by cancelling the subscription and switching the app to your own model. Titles already on your Mac stay under your control.

10. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most browsers include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') setting. There is no uniform standard for recognising DNT signals. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard we must follow is adopted, we will update this notice.

11. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?

In Short: Certain US state laws may grant you specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

If you visit the website or subscribe to Hosted, we may collect identifiers such as an email address (from Stripe) and online identifiers related to the site. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use and retain collected personal information as needed to provide the Services.
